Erm, did we have a weekend this week?
Cause from Sunday afternoon at one till monday afternoon at 2.45 my group was doing our webbie. Yes. A real killer. I just woke up after a super long sleep. I am tired and things just aren't going my way.

On the bright side nivi is now addressed as Private Nivarith Nair, yes no longer a recruit at the Pasir Ris Commando camp. Fungky and I went for his passing out ceremony on Saturday morning at the camp and boy were we proud of the lad! Well done Nivi! Hope you get posted where u want to aight.

Just cause LKY decided to come to town.

A little intro. : I live in Spottiswoode Park. A lil community that lives just off the CBD area. Yes there are only nine blocks. This place is as quiet as it can get. Well if you've never heard of this place, i suppose the closest you possible could have got near here was when you went to the railway station at Tanjong Pagar to take your train to Malaysia or even to Thailand (if your a rich fella that is). Now they are thinking of doing the lift upgrading for my place, which means the lift is gonna stop at every floor after the upgrading and we gotta vote if we want it. LKY being the MP for my place decided to come down. Here are the steps taken before his visit.

1 week before:
The whole estate was washed with chlorine.
Workers went on all fours to scrape dirt off the tiles.
The estate was covered with tents.
& i mean huge tents.
The kind you normally see at the circus, no joke!
You know the huge white tents...
yeah.
Our other MP Koo Tsai Kee went from door to door to inform us that the MM is coming.
Some walls were repainted.

3 days before:
The whole place was fumigated.
Inspectors from NEA checked every tree personally and a couple were chopped off.
107 was set up as the exhibition centre.

Hours before:
The bomb squad came down to check among the bushes.
Police officers formed lines to inspect the whole estate.

& finally LKY came.

The place was in a carnival atmosphere. I heard there were magic shows, belly dancers and stuff like that. All in the name of lift upgrading. For more information check out the Home section (ST) on Friday 4th March.
