lasallians.

Funky Nivi and I started a Facebook group for the historic 2 last "all-boys" classes from our primary school which happened to be De La Salle. Besides getting a whole bunch of great lads back together, some of the photos posted on the group from the past were just plain gorgeous. Photos which we never knew existed; some of which i was a part of.

talk cock shows.

If you know me well enough, you'd know Im not much of a tv person on a normal day, but boring days in camp force me to watch some crappy afternoon "free to air" channels. Besides all the funny cooking shows and planets funniest animals... humans... aliens.. shows, some talk shows have been pretty much irritating me. Here's a couple of the assholes:

Photobucket
The Ellen Show
Okay Allen... I know you can dance and Im sure you love prancing around all those ladies but please... get some new moves, Ive been watching you for a year now and Im tired of seeing you clapping your hands, splitting your legs while going over your coffee table and finally your horrible attempt at the robot.

Trying to do an "Oprah" with much cheaper gifts doesn't help either.

Photobucket
The Tyra Banks Show
If this isn't trash tv, I don't know what is. The fact that the company which did this production is called "Bankable Productions" tells the tale. Full of Tyra faking her smiles and aimless segments with her checking herself out through the screens in the studio half the time.

Her whole "Im Miss Independent" and "Oops Ive put on weight but I dont give a shit" image sickens me even more. She claims she doesn't care if she's a ton heavier but it's funny how she talks about it time and time again.

Suddenly I miss "Tonight with Gurmit".
though I never watched it.

the best man.

Photobucket
approximately two years ago.
when we were young.
when i tasted the beauty of traveling.
going to KL twice in a week.

brainless.

Photobucket
Even my 50+ year old mum who was probably just stoning through a soccer match to keep my dad company realised that he was being nothing more than a menace. Winning United away is enough of a trouble, 10 men probably called for better heroics than Istanbul.

last call.

Photobucket
and so we went to the not so new terminal 3 today and then to the forgotten suddenly "3rd world" looking terminal 1 for dinner at Popeyes which was an exceptional holiday from boring american fast food.

on a different note, chawiwi found her watch hiding under her printer and it made its comeback today. I told my yaya girlfriend that her henna tattoo was nice and she went, "of course! it's my handwriting!"

i dreamt.

Photobucket
I had a dream last night.
It was the most realistic dream I've ever had.

I dreamt they won the English League.

I woke up this morning to Benitez claiming the race is still on.

I think it's a calling.

I hope at least.

I know one thing... that dream felt better than the euphoria I felt when they won the Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Cup and Super Cup all put together.

shuttle.

My dad calls me over for a game against better opponents and we gave them a fight. He and I know that for some reason I played exceptionally well. I smashed to the extent my strings even broke and I had to borrow Maaran's racket for the rest of the match. Everybody who were watching saw it and rang their cheers except him. He moved on after the game as though nothing ever happened.

I partnered my brother after that and thrashed the opponents. An uncle asked my dad to shake our hands, my dad didn't even spare the thought a laugh and ignored the whole idea.

But I know he was proud within him and I'm glad I made him so.

My Dad.

serangoon mrt.

We were waiting for the train to outram mrt when we noticed some rather disturbing paintings on the walls at the station's platform.

Photobucket

Photobucket

I don't know... everything from the proportions of the characters to the placing of the hands look wrong to me. Maybe I'm disturbed.

Then I board the train and I see this...

my cereal killer.

Photobucket
I'll be there for you, these five words I swear to you
When you breathe, I wanna be the air for you
I'll be there for you

I'd live and I'd die for you
I'd steal the sun from the sky for you
Words can't say what love can do
I'll be there for you

I've been really enjoying Bon Jovi's "crossroads" album.
Some old school rock, yet some really great listening to accompany me through a crowded train ride for the past week.

fantasy.

Photobucket

The date is edging closer by the cycle. I don't know about you but they're pretty tight with the issuing of Offs where I come from. Some are resorting to MCs, others are resorting to their wisdom teeth. I haven't been spending too much thought mulling about any of the above.

I've been thinking about something else. May the 31st.

I plan to wear the best pressed Army lingo'd "SmartEST Four" to collect that little pink card. I'm fantasizing about that most of the time
these days while waving at cars to go by at gates, and of course the occasional jitters about my driving test the day before my ORD.

I joined the Army with certain goals in mind. The next three months before my freedom is a short period of time, yet an extremely important one. I hope all goes well. I pray.

Kaliyug.

"Kali Yuga is a period in the history of mankind when the dark forces of nature start playing an aggressive role. An almost complete breakdown of the values in the society is a sign of the rampant lawlessness spread all over. Everyone is to fend for himself as even our own betray the trust."

If you didn't know, we are currently facing the period stated above. We are sinners in our own ways, with miracles happening occasionally to remind us to keep the faith. According to what I hear, there are only two ways to cleanse your sins during this age, one of which is "Annathaanam". The act of giving food to the less fortunate.

The restaurant at Chinatown Point which I once spoke about (Annalekshmi) lives by this ideology, "eat what you want. pay what you want". Anyway to my point now... here's your chance to do some "Annathaanam" in a really interesting way. I hope you will frequent the site. I heard about it via Channel NewsAsia, so I pray it's not a hoax.

Suddenly break outs aren't as pretty as they sound on tv.

To all the men standing day and night at the coastal lines, I feel you.

Hang in there.
