I think it's about time that people realize Indian movies are no longer about coconut trees and song sequences. I was given a great film copy of the movie but I refused watching it, I just wanna watch it in the cinemas. I'm looking forward to the soundtrack in particular, if you aren't familiar with Rahman, he's one of the best music directors from India who's been around for nearly twenty years and he did a few collaborations with MIA (the 31year old chick I keep going on about) for this movie. I hope they win the oscars and the next time round we have an Indian director too working on the film. I'm sure Mani Ratnam could wow anybody with his cinematography and touches.
PS: The track in the above clip's by MIA and she's been nominated for "Record of the year" for this years Grammy awards.
will once again begin tomorrow when my aunt and her husband land at 5 in the morning direct from India. The duration of their stay is unknown (as usual).
